"... Steven Barley wrote his will in 1601. He leaves 2 quarters of barley to his grandchildren, the children of Robert Heath. No doubt he grew barley. Mentions Benjamin and Steven "my sonnes". He makes his wife Elizabeth executrix. Steven's period in history marks the end of the reign of King Henry VIII, the end of the Renaissance, the flowering of the Protestant Reformation, and the birth of William Shakespeare (1564). Notes taken from Church warden records of 1607 and 1611. According to Elizabeth's will, she had remarried a Fowler, so Steven was already deceased."

Elizabeth married Steven BARLEY, Sr [1086] [MRIN: 472]. (Steven BARLEY, Sr [1086] was born about 1560 in Ramsbury, Wiltshire, England and died on 26 Nov 1601 Prob. in Aldbourne, Wiltshire, England.)

Elizabeth next married FOWLER [386] [MRIN: 353].
